Welcome!

Hi Guys.
Firstly I'd thank all of you that made it out last Friday night. It can be tough to balance all of the pressures that life puts on us, so thank you for your commitment, it was great meeting new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones.

Secondly, welcome to your new online meeting place! You'll see various things posted here from time to time that hopefully will help encourage you in your journey to become the best father, husband, son, friend that you can be. If you have something that you think other guys need to read, feel free post it. This is your site! If there is anything you're struggling with and just need to talk it out with someone, but don't want it public, send us an email. 


I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you better in the coming months, and I'm excited to see where this little grass-roots community will go! Cool!
Stay tuned for upcoming events, and respond with your own ideas as well. Retro bowling night with the moms? 3 day backpacking trip...guys only? Floor hockey? Fundraising ideas? Think about it....


...and we'll see you Friday. Dave said he'd bring doughnuts. (Ok, he really didn't say that, but I'm trying to get us free food!)

Oh, one last thing. I called this site "Stepping Up" cause it just seemed to fit. Partly because of the affiliation with "Stepping Stones", the outreach for young moms in our community, but the name "Stepping Up" really describes YOU GUYS! There are way too many young dads that turn tail and run, and simply don't step up to plate and be involved in their children's lives. You guys, however, are different. You want to be there for your kids, and that's cool!
